Corona virus hits Delhi too: 3 suspected patients admitted to RML.
New Delhi, Jan 28 (HS): After Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, now the suspects of Coronavirus have been found in Delhi also. The Medical Superintendent of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Dr. Minakshi Bhardwaj said that three cases of coronavirus have come to them.
“All three patients are undergoing treatment and their samples have been sent for examination,” the Doctor said. Apart from Delhi, a suspected case of coronavirus has also been reported in Chandigarh, sources said.
Health officials said on Tuesday that three persons traveling to China have been kept in an isolation ward of RML Hospital for possible risk of coronavirus.
Medical Superintendent of RML Hospital, Dr. Minakshi Bhardwaj said that the three suspected patients are between 24 to 48 years old and have been admitted on Monday. She said that their samples have been sent to the ICMR-NIV Pune laboratory for further diagnosis. Of these, two are residents of Delhi and one from NCR, the Doctor informs.
All three patients have fever as well as respiratory problems like cold and cough and they came to the hospital on their own to deal with such cases. The risk of the corona virus has increased in Maharashtra.
Currently, four patients in Mumbai and two in Pune have been admitted to the Isolation Wards. Apart from these, some suspected patients have been admitted to hospitals in several cities including Patna, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Chandigarh and they are being investigated intensively.
The National Health Commission in China has said that the condition of 976 patients remained critical and a total of 6,973 people were suspected of being infected with the virus till Monday.
