Cops to attach properties of IPS officer on the run
PRAYAGRAJ, June 17 (HS): Property of suspended and absconding IPS officer Manilal Patidar has been discovered in Rajasthan and Gujarat, according to the Prayagraj crime branch department. Following the court’s approval, the police will seize Patidar’s property, who is a key suspect in the abetment of businessman Indrakant Tripathi’s suicide in Mahoba. According to authorities, he has a cash reward of Rs.1 lakh on his head. The discovered properties, according to officials, are worth many crores. Previously, police teams had tracked down three of Patidar’s properties, including a shop. Despite the efforts of two special task force teams, the Prayagraj criminal branch, and Mahoba police units, Patidar still remains at large.
The squads are raiding Patidar’s hometown in Rajasthan and his relatives’ homes in other states on a regular basis, but they have no idea where he is. After failing to apprehend him, police enlisted the help of the tax department to track down Manilal Patidar’s assets. Officials added that investigations were also underway to discover Patidar’s unnamed assets. “We will do everything we can to apprehend Patidar before the next hearing in the case,” an officer added.
SP (crime) Ashutosh Mishra stated that when his properties are identified, further action will be taken immediately. It’s worth noting that former Mahoba SP Manilal Patidar has been missing for the past eight months.
He was suspended for harassing crusher owner Indrakant Tripathi, who was discovered dead in his automobile with a bullet wound to the head. Manilal Patidar was charged with aiding suicide and corruption in Mahoba. Prem Prakash, ADG Zone, has enhanced the cash incentive for Patidar’s arrest to Rs. 1 lakh.
