Patna, 12 November-2021.After being founded in 1922, this is for the first time in the history of Delhi University that we are organizing Alumni Meet of Delhi University at the historical and glorious capital of Magadh and land of Buddha which has been highest seat of learning, wisdom and enlightenment since time immemorial. The DU Alumni Meet is being organized at the prestigious Patna Golf Club, Patna, Bihar on 13.11.2021 from 5:00 PM -10:30 PM. 

 

DU Returns is a thriving, inclusive community, with shared goal of working towards the public good while striving to provide access and support for those just striking out on their own path. Through www.dureturns.org our endeavour is to bring together the Alumni of Delhi University on a common platform to build a channel of support to each other.

We are the former students of Delhi University. We have studied Science, Humanities, Commerce, Law and other streams. We have pursued our Graduation, Post-Graduation, LL.B., Ph.D. and other various courses from Delhi University. Some of us are holding top positions in MNCs, some are well known in the field of media & advertisement, some are established leaders, some are holding responsible & high position as bureaucracy, some are Teachers & Professors, and some are successful Advocates. We are residing in different parts of country and abroad.Through this event, we wish to connect not only with our friends and peers but also wish to showcase the world that we are proud to be Biharis and we are doing exceptionally well in our career. We are coming back to our roots and wish to do something for our motherland. We are eager to share our resources, knowledge, skills, culture and social life with our people. Our endeavour is to make people, settled in other stateswant to go back to Bihar and do something for its betterment.

 

We are overwhelmed with the positive response and were constrained to stop registration after we received consent from 350 distinguished alumni (approx.), including but not limited to members of Judiciary, Bureaucrats, Elected Representatives, Professionals etc. who are going to join us during this event.

 

DU Alumni are our prized possession & valued ambassador, and we crave for their continued association with us. They are an integral part of DU fraternity, present achievements and future hopes. They have marked this day in their calendar to walk down the memory lanes and make it available to be with their adorable seniors, mentors and not the least, their bosom friends and colleagues.

 

The Alumni Meet shall be officially inaugurated by lighting the auspicious lamp by our distinguished guests at 6:30 PM. We have arranged 20×40 ft stage for performance by artists with LED Wall. State of the art technology shall be used with drone cameras to live stream the event on Facebook and YouTube.

 

  • The first performance shall be fusion on Tabla by young artist from Patna, Radha Ballabh.

 

  • Live Musical performance by Male & Female Singers.

 

  • Recital of poem and songs by Nilotpal Mrinal, an author, poet and singer. He has written bestselling novels. He is the youngest writer to receive ‘Sahitya Academy Award’ for his novel Dark Horse.

 

  • Classical Musical Performance by Sabri Brothers, a renowned musical band from Ajmer who performs Sufi qawwali music and are closely connected to the Chishti Order. They are considered one of the greatest Sufi qawwali singers of all times. They are often referred to as Shahenshah-e-Qawwali. They have performed qawwali in United States and other Western countries. Their stature in the sub-continent is colossal.
