The Congress slammed the government over the delay in NEET-PG admissions, calling it unacceptable. Party leaders demanded answers, questioning why thousands of aspiring doctors still face uncertainty. Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate accused the BJP of neglecting medical students’ futures.

NEET-PG, the entrance exam for postgraduate medical courses, plays a crucial role in shaping healthcare professionals. However, delays in counseling and seat allocation have left students frustrated. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducted the exam earlier, but admission procedures have stalled. Congress leaders argue that government inefficiency is harming the education system and healthcare sector.

Shrinate pointed out that repeated delays affect students’ careers and burden hospitals facing staff shortages. She accused the Modi government of prioritizing politics over students’ futures. Congress also alleged that the government’s mismanagement of medical education was worsening India’s healthcare crisis.

The delay in NEET-PG admissions comes amid ongoing concerns about irregularities in the exam process. Many students have raised complaints about errors in results and seat allotment. The opposition claims that a lack of transparency in the admission process adds to students’ distress.

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also criticized the delay. He called it another example of the BJP’s failure in governance. Gandhi questioned why the government failed to streamline medical education despite repeated promises.

The delay has sparked protests among medical aspirants. Several student groups have staged demonstrations, demanding immediate action. Social media is flooded with students voicing frustration, urging authorities to resolve the issue. Many argue that delays in admissions impact their training, causing long-term disruptions in healthcare services.

Medical associations have also expressed concern. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) warned that prolonged delays could lead to a crisis in hospitals. With a shortage of junior doctors, patient care may suffer. The IMA urged the government to expedite the admission process.

Congress leaders demanded a clear response from Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. They asked the government to explain the reasons behind the delay and provide a concrete timeline for resolution. The opposition also questioned the fairness of the admission system, alleging favoritism and inefficiency.

Meanwhile, the BJP defended its handling of NEET-PG admissions. Party leaders claimed that procedural issues were being addressed. They assured students that the government was working to resolve the matter. However, Congress dismissed these statements, calling them empty promises.

As the issue remains unresolved, pressure continues to mount on the government. Students, parents, and medical professionals await a swift solution. Congress vowed to keep raising the issue until the government ensures a fair and timely admission process.
