Congress demands ‘testing for all’ in all party meet

New Delhi, June 15 (HS) The Corona toll is increasing rapidly in the national capital Delhi. The capital’s Corona tally has touched 41,182 and 1300 people have lost their lives so far. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lieutenant Governor of Delhi called an all-party meeting on Monday, to discuss the management of Corona virus situation in Delhi. Leaders of the BJP, Congress, AAP, BSP and SP have attended the meeting. Besides, Union Home Secretary, Central Health Secretary, Chief Secretary of Delhi, and Principal Secretary Health of Delhi Government were also present.

Delhi Congress chief Anil Kumar demanded that Corona testing must be provided to all, as it is everyone’s right. The Congress also demanded that financial assistance of Rs 10,000 should be provided to every family whose member is infected or in a containment zone. He further said that Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal had announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of the Corona warriors, but it has not been provided yet. We request the government to proceed in this matter.

The party further demanded that the fourth year medical students be used as non-permanent resident doctors to provide help during the crisis. The Congress also suggested that schools and college hostels should be used as quarantine facilities.

He said, “Union Home Minister has said that by June 20, the Delhi government will start conducting 18,000 Corona tests per day.”
