Competitions to start soon after relief from corona virus: Thomas Lund
New Delhi,05 May(HS): The Badminton World Federation (BWF) Secretary General Thomas Lund said that as soon as relief from the coronavirus pandemic was made, an attempt would be made to start badminton as soon as possible. He said that due to international travel ban, the schedule of competitions is facing difficulties.
“We are ready to start the competition as soon as possible. It also includes a calendar of a revised BWF tournament for 2020. An announcement will be made soon,” Lund said in a statement.
He said, “At this time it is difficult to predict when the competition will start, given the entry level restrictions on the international level and in different countries. First it must be ensured that all the players, their teams, officials and staff will participate in the tournament safely.”
