CM Yogi Purvanchal Expressway to be inaugurated by PM Modi in April

Lucknow, 08 February (HS) :     The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanth on Monday inspected the ongoing construction work of Purvanchal Expressway at Ghazipur and Azamgarh. He on the occasion said that the construction of the six-lane Purvanchal Expressway would be completed by March and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate it in the month of April.

After inspecting the construction work CM Yogi also addressed the people in Ghazipur and Azamgarh. He said that the 340 Km long Purvanchal Expressway would connect the economically underdeveloped districts of eastern UP including Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Amethi and Ambedkarnagar.

CM Yogi said that the Purvanchal Expressway would reduce the travel time. The people of Ghazipur will reach state capital, Lucknow in three hours and the national capital i.e. Delhi within 10 hours, he said.  He on the occasion also recalled that the foundation stone of the expressway was laid in 2018 by PM Modi.

He said that the construction work of the expressway is moving at a fast pace despite CORONA crisis.
