CM Yogi picks ‘Cleanliness & Sanitisation’ as his weapons to fight Covid

Lucknow,  14 April  (HS) :      In order to control and further prevent the menace of coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has chosen ‘sanitisation and cleanliness’ as his weapons. Eversince,  CM Yogi, has taken the command of covid management, his efforts are very much visible on the ground.

In this endeavor, the state government has started an intensive sanitisation drive at the bus stations. “As a part of the sanitisation process, the transport corporation buses, the station area, the toilets are being cleaned and sanitised every hour”, informed the officials. The passengers and the staff, especially drivers and conductors, are asked to follow Covid protocol, rigorously. They have been advised to wear masks, maintain physical distancing and use hand sanitiser.

According to a spokesperson of the state government strict action is also being taken at railway stations and airports for any kind of carelessness. High officials of the department are examining the on-spot situation so that there is no inconvenience caused to the passengers.

To deal with the alarming situation, the government has agreed to take every precautionary measures that does not cause any harm to the public, he said.  In order to break the chain of infection, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict instructions to ensure the comprehensive management for prevention and treatment of corona virus.

In a high-level meeting, CM Yogi stressed that special cleanliness and sanitisation drives should be carried out across districts all over the state. Following the instructions, special efforts for cleanliness and sanitisation at all public places including bus stations, railway stations, hospitals, schools, offices have been intensified after the directions from CM Yogi. Efforts to protect government servants from coronavirus have started by setting up vaccination camps in government offices. Transport Corporation buses are constantly being sanitised to protect passengers from infection.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has constituted committees of top officials. The CM office itself is monitoring the work of all the committees and coordinating them through IGRS, CM Helpline. All the committees are keeping a check on the entire situation round the clock. Along with this, testing and screening of Covid- 19 is also being done on their behalf.

Fogging  in Gram Panchayats & Municipal wards

The state government has issued guidelines to the officials of the Municipal Corporations in various cities of the state including Lucknow to maintain the cleanliness system in each ward along with the markets. Following which, the work of cleaning, sanitization and fogging have been started. Monitoring committees at the village panchayat level and at the municipal level are following the Covid Protocol and fulfilling the government’s directives.

Vaccination camps in government offices

The spokesperson said that keeping in view the rising cases of coronavirus infections, the vaccination drive has been intensified to prevent the state employees from getting infected. All the major government offices of the state including Jawahar Bhawan, Indira Bhawan, Secretariat are being cleaned and sanitised in Lucknow. Automatic sanitization machines have been installed at various campuses. Teams have been formed to ensure that employees fully comply with the Covid Protocol. Those who do not follow the rules are also being followed are being dealt strictly.

Adequate quantity of  handwash at public toilets

Cleanliness is being done in public places and in public toilets every hour. Handwash has been provided for those using public toilets.

Monitoring committees to keep an eye on fogging & sanitization

On Behalf of the government, the monitoring committees constituted by CM Yogi, are keeping a check on the cleanliness, fogging and sanitization campaign in various districts of the state. Action is being taken in the areas where any kind of carelessness is reported.

Awareness through loudspeakers

In order to deal with the second wave of Corona, CM Yogi said in a meeting that people should be enlightened about the prevention measures and Covid protocol through public address system across the state. In this regard, appeals are being made through loudspeakers on markets, major intersections, public places, police checkpoints to make people aware of their safety.
