CM Yogi participates in PM’s video conferencing, Amrit Mahotsav of Independence

Lucknow, 09 March (HS) :     Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday took part in the video conferencing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from his official residence here today. This video conferencing was held in connection with the first meeting of the National Committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

This commemoration will be called the ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’ which will last for the next 75 weeks. The Mahotsav will begin on March 12. In his address through video conferencing, the Prime Minister said that the objective of this event is to make people understand the importance of India’s freedom and its freedom struggle.

Also, the young generation has to be informed about the freedom movement. This is to connect the youth. This event has to be given the shape of a movement. The Prime Minister said that this event is very important for the country and pointed out that efforts will be made on how this event should become a festival of people. It should be a festival in which the struggle for freedom is experienced, he mused.

This event will reflect the pride of Sanatan India. This will also develop the concept of celebrating 100 years of independence in the year 2047, the Prime Minister said and added that through this event, stories of unknown fighters of freedom struggle will also be reached to people.

It is worth mentioning here that on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the independence of India the state-level organizing committee has been constituted by the state government for the state level Amrit Mahotsav under the chairmanship of the Governor and the Executive Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister. The state government has prepared a grand plan for the momentous occasion.

During the video conferencing, Chief Secretary RK Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary Information and MSME Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary Revenue Mrs. Renuka Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Secondary Education Mrs. Aradhana Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary Youth Welfare Mrs. Dimple Verma, Principal Secretary Chief Minister and Information Sanjay Prasad and Principal Secretary Culture and Tourism Mukesh Kumar Meshram and other senior officials were present.
