CM Yogi inaugurates Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium & Cultural Centre in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur, 21 March (HS) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday inaugurated the Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium and Cultural Centre in Gorakhpur district built at a cost of about Rs. 52 crore. It has a seating capacity of 1076 people in the main auditorium and 250 in the small auditorium.

Also, facilities of state-of-the-art media centre conference hall, parking, canteen, library, etc. are available here. The auditorium and cultural centre has been constructed by the Culture Department of the state. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released the book of the Department of Culture based on the achievements of the State Government for four years.

Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister said that there has been a constant demand for auditoriums for public programmes by the persons of cultural field and artists in Gorakhpur. After the formation of the government in the year 2017, the state-of-the-art auditorium and cultural centre for Gorakhpur has been dedicated to the people today as per the demand of artists.

He said that this auditorium should be associated with public welfare and national welfare programmes as per the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Along with cultivation in art, culture is also contained, which also becomes a medium for awakening society.

The Chief Minister said that high-level facilities have been provided in this auditorium for public programmes, seminars and cultural programmes and added that the government provides facilities, but it is the responsibility of the local public to handle it and give them to the new generation. You have the responsibility of protecting public property, it should not cause any loss/damage.

He said that negative thinking hinders development and development work progresses in positive terms. The result of positive thinking is that the all-around development of Uttar Pradesh is taking place. The Chief Minister said that Ramgarhtal has become a good tourist spot. Earlier there used to be a mound of dirt and filth, but today it has developed into a tourist centre, due to which films are being shot here. He said that a water sports complex centre will be built here and that Gorakhpur Zoo will also be inaugurated soon.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Principal Secretary Tourism, Culture Mukesh Meshram and others. Divisional Commissioner Jayant Narlikar proposed vote of thanks.
