CM Yogi asks officials for on-spot verification of action taken in ongoing ‘Varasat Campaign’
Lucknow, 28 January (HS) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials of the Revenue Department to carry out on-the-spot verification of the Varasat campaign proceedings in the villages. He said that during the tour, the officers of the Revenue Department should investigate on a random basis to record the undisputed succession under the inheritance campaign. He has also given instructions to conduct the campaign in the state at full speed.
The Chief Minister was reviewing the works of various departments at a high-level meeting convened at Lok Bhawan here on Thursday. He also said that the smooth running of the night shelters should be ensured in view of the inclement weather and intense cold wave. Arrangements should also be made to ensure the inmates are safeguarded against Covid-19.
The CM also directed concerning authorities to arrange bonfire at major places in urban and rural areas and distribute blankets to the needy. The Chief Minister issued instructions to make people aware of the precautions to be taken at the time of disasters to minimize the loss from natural calamities.
He said that the people of the disaster-prone areas should be made aware by marking the areas affected by various disasters. Also, people should be trained regarding disaster prevention measures. He directed to take swift action for the construction of the building of Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority as this would facilitate the Authority to conduct its functions better.
The Chief Minister has also instructed to start the work of arranging land for the Ganga Expressway project soon. He said that the construction work of the project has to be started by ensuring the availability of sufficient land. Therefore, all the actions for arranging the land should be ensured in a timely manner. Yogi Adityanath ji also said that prompt action should be taken in connection with the establishment of the Center of Excellence in the state for DNA testing. He said that this will facilitate a scientific investigation. Accurate information will be available regarding the evidence related to the crime, which will help in getting justice, he underlined.

Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister SP Goel, Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary Medical Education Dr. Rajneesh Dube and other senior officers were present during the review meet.
