CM to attend Industrial Consultation Event today
Ranchi, 6 March 2021 (HS)Chief Minister Hemant Soren today left for national capital with a delegation of senior government officials to attend an Industrial Consultation Event with respective Industry Trade Associations (Electronic Manufacturing, Food & Food Processing, Pharma, Textile/Apparels) at Hotel Taj Palace.
Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh, who is also going to attend the conference, told media persons that the meeting is scheduled with “potential investors”. “It’s a stakeholders’ conference. Discussions are scheduled on the new Jharkhand Industrial and Investment promotion policy draft discussion, especially with people related to Jharkhand’s priority sectors including manufacturing, textile, food processing and electronics. Some other meetings have also been scheduled for the CM,” said Industry Secretary Pooja Singhal.
“Some MoUs have been proposed during the meeting, out of which some will be signed in this visit of CM, while foundation of some other MoUs will be laid. We are doing only those meetings, fruits of which can be brought on the ground in a short duration,” she added. Notably, the Government of Jharkhand has been trying to woo investors in the State and has been treading cautiously in the field of investment. This is for the first time the CM with a delegation of senior officers of the State is holding such meet in the national Capital.
Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Industry Secretary Pooja Singhal and Cabinet Secretary Ajoy Kumar Singh will also participate in the conference.
