CM KCR recalls association with Vemulawada temple

Telangana: Hyderabad: December 31 (HS) Honourable Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao during his Rajarajeswari temple visit in Vemulawada, the CM recalled his long bond and association with the temple. He said the previous governments never bothered to attend to the problems faced by the pilgrims here.

The CM went around the temple and fulfilled vows as per the traditions and customs. He had donated two Calves to the Raja Rajeswara Swamy. He held special poojas in the temple. He took blessings from the Vedic Scholars.

On this occasion, he had interacted with the local temple’s officials and other prominent personalities. He announced that the Vemulawada Rajanna Temple, whom people in Telangana regard as their home deity, would be developed exquisitely. He said development would take place for the comfort of the devotees in the five to six acres of the main temple. In 35 acres sprawling area the entire temple complex would be developed with all the grandeur and facilities to make it as a great spiritual centre. He said he would meet Srungeri Peetham Seer and would seek his advice, suggestions to develop Vemulawada Rajanna temple. The CM said all the construction, renovations work will be done strictly in tune with the Agama Shastras. In 2020-21 Budget, funds will be allocated for the development of the Temple.

After the temple visit, the CM visited Mid Manair reservoir. He said since the Mid Manair was in the vicinity of Rajarajeswari Swamy temple, the reservoir was named after the Swamy. From Mid Maner, about 70 to 80 percent of drinking water is supplied to the Telangana region. Due to the neglect of the united AP rulers, the entire region used to be like a desert. The United AP rulers have intentionally stopped works on Nimmapalli project on Moola Vagu, as it would adversely impact the Doweleswaram project. This led to enormous loss to Telangana.

He said people in Telangana region then used to sing, “Mulki poye, Moota poye, Moola Vagu Nillu Poye (Lost Mulki, Lost money, Lost water in Moola Vagu). The CM has spent some time on the bridge that connects Moola Vagu and Mid Maneru, looking at the water in abundance there, he was pleased. He offered floral tribute at the Dam gates, as is his wont he slipped coins and flowers into the water, he saluted to the water. He also threw coins and flowers into the water in Mid Manair tank at Sircilla Bridge and offered Pooja.

Along with the CM family members, Ministers KT Rama Rao, Etela Rajender, Gangula Kamalakar, MP  Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, Planning Board Vice Chairman  B Vinod Kumar and his family members participated in the Pooja. MLAs, MLCs from Karimnagar district and other people’s representatives participated.
