CM directs immediate arrangements of additional beds at Prayagraj’s SRN
PRAYAGRAJ, April 21 (HS): Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, said on Tuesday that the latest vaccination process would be crucial in the battle against Covid-19. He said that all appropriate preparations for the large-scale vaccination, which will begin on May 1, should be made. In this regard, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement that all adults over the age of 18 would be vaccinated beginning May 1. Vaccination, he said, is the most important way to defend against Covid-19. A virtual meeting of Cabinet ministers was held on Tuesday in which, deputy CMs, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma along with minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Siddharth Nath Singh and others attended. During interaction with minister, Nandi the issue of shortage of beds in SRN Hospiotal was raised. Taking cognizance of the issue, Chief Minister immediately directed for the arrangement of additional beds at SRN Hospital, Prayagraj.
In addition, the CM suggested that during weekend lockdowns, sanitization and fogging be done on a war footing, and that passengers arriving from other states be thoroughly screened. COVID-19 contaminated people should be quarantined in appropriate facilities, he said. The chief minister also requested that authorities perform RTPCR tests in earnest in order to identify cases early and prevent the virus from spreading. Yogi Adityanath also asked officials to step up efforts to prevent people from congregating in large groups and to enforce mask enforcement for those who leave their homes.
Separate monitoring and oxygen should be made available for L-1, L-2, and L-3 hospitals, according to him. He said that all of the oxygen provided by the industry should be used solely for medical purposes. According to him, these oxygen plants should be connected to the nearest hospital, and a detailed work plan should be developed immediately. He said that units that are able to invest in oxygen refilling should be rewarded and orders for the automatic renewal of licences for oxygen generating units should be given right away.
