Yogi Govt to table budget on February 22

Lucknow, 09 February (HS) :     The budget session of Uttar Pradesh Legislature will begin on February 18.  Yogi Government will present its budget in both the houses on February 22. The Speaker of UP Assembly Hridaya Narayan Dixit on Tuesday approved the tentative agenda for the session till March 10.

According to the Principal Secretary of UP Assembly, Pradeep Dubey the Governor Anandiben Patel will address a joint session of both the houses on the first day of the session.

Thereafter, a general debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor address will take place on February 19. The sittings will be suspended on February 20 and 21 because of Saturday and Sunday. On February 22 the Finance Minister Suresh Khanna will table the budget for financial year of 2021-22.

The general debate on motion of thanks would again take place on February 23 and discussion on budget will take place on February 24 and 25. The house will be adjourned on February 26 to 28 because of holidays.

On March 1st to 5th discussion will continue on budget. The budgetary grants of different departments will be taken up on March 08, 09 and 10 after break of two days, March 06 and 07 because of Saturday and Sunday.

 The Yogi government had passed its fourth budget on February 18 last year. This year’s budget is the fifth and last budget of the Yogi government. The Assembly poll of UP is scheduled to be held next year. Therefore it is expected that the BJP government led by CM Yogi Adityanath will try its best to make every section of the society happy through this budget.
