BSY calls for strict adherence of lockdown stipulations
Bengaluru,05 April(HS): BS Yediyurappa, Chief Minister today called upon people of the state to rigidly abide by the lockdown restrictions to combat the Corona pandemic and expressed concern following an increase in the number of Covid-19 infections.
In a statement released to the media, the chief minister stated: Everyone in the world is aware of the havoc created by the Covid-19 pandemic. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared a lockdown in the whole country to protect the lives of the people. Even in our state, Corona infection cases have seen a sharp rise in Bidar, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Bengaluru Urban and Kalaburagi districts.
He has also stressed: Although the state government has taken enough precautionary measures to combat the menace due to the deadly virus it is equally important on the part of the people to adhere to the lockdown stipulations.
At the same time, he has also hinted that a decision on whether to continue the present lockdown after 14 April or not will be taken in due course depending on improvement in the situation. He has also invited suggestions from the general public in this connection.
