BPCL launches ‘Digital India’ initiative at Retail Outlets in Kolkata..,

Kolkata, 23 January (HS): Public sector Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.(BPCL) launched a ‘Digital India’ driven initiative ‘NextGen Pure for Sure Digital Fuelling’ at one of its Retail outlets’ here today.
 Launching the new initiative in line with Prime Minister  Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Digital India’ and ‘Ease of Doing Business’, PS Ravi, Executive Director Retail, BPCL said here this afternoon that this initiative was the first of its kind in entire industry segment and was based on advanced technology, leading to better business process optimization and efficiency. It would also help build a business ecosystem resulting in better customer experience, he emphasized.
Further elaborating on the new initiative, Ravi informed that BPCL had also launched a number of other advanced technological and digital programs ‘for an enhanced fuelling experience that offered greater transparency and building greater customer trust’.
They would also help enable 100 percent assured quality and quantity of fuel delivered to all fuel stations through tankers which were secured by tamper-proof electronic locks using state-of-the-art geofencing technology, along with cent percent Secured payments through an integrated digital payment system, among several other facilities, Ravi said.
Later speaking to Hindusthan Samachar on the sidelines, he said the rollout of this new initiative would take place in altogether in 6 major cities in Phase one. Began with Chennai late last year, it was soon extended to Hyderabad, Bengaluru and now in Kolkata. ‘Soon we would launch the same initiative in Delhi and Mumbai ‘, he said adding that in the second phase altogether 42 cities would be covered across the country within the next few months.
