Bomb threats sent panic through St. Stephen’s College in Delhi and two Noida schools on Friday. Authorities responded swiftly, deploying bomb and dog squads. Security teams evacuated and shut down the campuses while police launched a thorough search.
Schools immediately informed parents about the threats. A message from one school read, “We are closing the campus for the day to complete a sweep and ensure safety.” Administrators advised parents to keep children home. Students already on buses were sent back. Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 and Shiv Nadar School in Noida received the threatening emails.
At 7:42 AM, St. Stephen’s College also received a bomb threat via email. Delhi Police confirmed the alert and dispatched bomb disposal teams immediately. Officers secured the area and began a search operation.
These threats surfaced just a day after police arrested a Class 9 student for sending hoax bomb emails to four Noida schools. Investigators revealed that the 15-year-old used Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology to hide his location and IP address. His motive? Avoiding school. Authorities took him into custody and presented him before the Juvenile Court.
Police had already responded to bomb threats at four Noida schools—Step By Step, The Heritage, Gyanshree, and Mayoor—on Wednesday. Noida DCP Ram Badan Singh stated that schools received the emails around 12:30 AM. Administrators checked the messages later that morning and alerted police.
Security forces remain on high alert, ensuring student safety while investigating the latest threats. Authorities continue their search at St. Stephen’s and the Noida schools, treating every case with urgency.
