Blast in Balochistan kills 4, injures 32
An explosion in Turbat, Balochistan, killed four and injured 32 on Saturday, with five victims in critical condition. Senior Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Zohaib Mohsin and six of his family members were among the injured. The blast occurred as their vehicle passed through the area.
CCTV footage shows vehicles moving on the road before a sudden explosion ignited a passenger bus. Police confirmed that the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack. The victims, Noor Khan, Abdul Wahab, Ijaz, and Liaquat Ali, were residents of different parts of Balochistan.
According to security forces, the BLA has killed over 100 innocent civilians in the past year. Authorities are investigating further to prevent similar incidents.
Leaders condemned the attack. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed grief and extended condolences to the families of the deceased. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah called the act cruel and barbaric, while Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori labeled the perpetrators enemies of innocent lives.
