BJP’s UP Working Committee to meet in Lucknow on March 15
Lucknow, 12 March (HS) : The Uttar Pradesh Working Committee of ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will meet on March 15 after a gap of over two years. The party in this meeting will chalk out the poll strategy for the upcoming Panchayat elections and Assembly polls.
The meet is scheduled to be held at Indira Ganghi Pratisthan in Lucknow. The Defence Minister of the country and MP from Lucknow Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the working committee meeting while CM Yogi Adityanath will give the closing speech. It would be presided over by the party’s state president Swatantra Dev Singh. Over five hundred deligates are expected to participate in this day long meet.
Keeping in view the upcoming three tier Panchayat Polls and state Assembly elections next year the working committee meet of the ruling party is considered very significant in the state of UP. Besides, the Yogi Government to complete four years in office just four days before the meet.
It may be mentioned that the working committee meet of UP BJP is being organised after a gap of over four years. Its last meet was held in Meerut in 2018. The state unit Spokesperson of the party Manish Shukla in this regard says that the meeting was not organised lasr year because of CORONA pandemic.
Before the meet the state president Swatantra Dev Singh on Thursday announced the body of UP Working Committee.
