Haryana is witnessing a fierce battle as Assembly elections unfold. The ruling BJP seeks a third straight term, while Congress aims for a comeback. On Tuesday, counting of votes began at 93 centers across 22 districts. Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal confirmed 90 observers were appointed to oversee the process.

In addition, 30 companies of Central Armed Police Forces, along with state and district police, were deployed to ensure secure counting. Strict measures, like CCTV monitoring and restricted entry, were implemented. Agarwal promised timely updates with each round of counting.

On October 5, the state saw a high voter turnout of 67.90%. Exit polls hint at a possible shift in power, favoring Congress. However, the final outcome will reveal which party secures Haryana’s leadership in this closely contested election.
