BJP submits privilege motion against JD-S MLA
Bengaluru,19 July(HS): The Bharatiya Janata Party has submitted a privilege motion against Sreenivasgowda, Kolar Janata Dal-Secular MLA for making defamatory allegations against three of its party legislators.
Sreenivasgowda, today alleged in the lower house during the discussion on the motion of vote of confidence motion: I had been offered Rs 10 crores by Dr Ashwathnarayan, SR Vishwanath BJP MLAs’ and CP Yogeshwara, former BJP MLA and all the three of them left five crores in my house.
Interestingly the BJP members kept mum in spite of repeated instigations by the ruling party members. But outside the house, BS Yeddyurappa, leader of the opposition informed media persons: We are moving a privilege motion against Sreenivasgowda for making defamatory allegations against our members.
R Ashok, BJP leader rebutted the ruling party member’s allegation: The very same Sreenivasgowda has admitted before the Anti Corruption Bureau that no money was given to him and he had made the allegation keeping the ongoing political crisis in mind.
