BJP questions Hemant Soren’s age, accuses JMM of corruption in affidavits
A political storm has erupted over Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s age discrepancy. Reports suggest his age increased by seven years in official documents over just five years. The BJP quickly seized on this, criticizing the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and accusing it of corruption, even in official affidavits.
BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala took to social media on Friday, claiming that JMM stands for “Jhol, Muslim appeasement, and mafia,” and accused the Jharkhand government of unprecedented corruption. He stated that “affidavit corruption” reflects the JMM’s exploitation of the people, highlighting various alleged scams under Soren’s administration.
The BJP’s criticism comes as part of its broader campaign against the Soren government, positioning JMM’s alleged misconduct as a core issue ahead of future elections.
