BJP prez JP Nadda meets PM Narendra Modi.
New Delhi, Jan 23 (HS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) newly elected president JP Nadda met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. This was his first meeting with the Prime Minister after he took over as the BJP’s president.
Nadda met Modi at his residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. The sources said that it was just a courtesy call.
The BJP President shared a picture of this meeting on Twitter and said that the meeting was just a courtesy call to seek blessings of the Prime Minister.
“Paid a courtesy visit to Hon Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and sought his blessings. Under his able leadership, the country is achieving new heights. With his valuable guidance, I have set a goal to carry my ideology to the party and to every household,” tweeted J P Nadda.
Later while addressing a rally in Agra in Uttar Pradesh, Nadda said, “Former presidents of the party have made a huge contribution to the expansion of the BJP. Former President Amit Shah Ji has not only increased the dimensions of the party but has also increased the governments in the states.” He also said, “I assure you that with your cooperation, tenacity, contribution, I will take the party further to new heights.”
He said that the Dalit leaders and the congress party did not know anything about CAA and was just spreading confusion and misleading the people of the country.
He asserted that the CAA was a law to grant citizenship, not to take away the citizenship of any person.
