BJP MLA setting up new ‘Oxygen Plant’ in Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ, April 21 (HS): A new Oxygen Plant is coming up at Teliarganj industrial area of Prayagraj. The plant will get operational by Sunday and produce 500 oxygen cylinders on a daily basis. The new plant is being established by Pararehut Chemical Industrial Limited, owned by BJP MLA from City North Prayagraj, Harshvarshan Bajpai, who also happens to be the Chief Executive Officer of the firm. During a candid discuss with HS, Harsh Bajpai revealed that the idea of setting up new plant cropped up after experiencing the problems faced by people in procuring oxygen during emergency situation arising out of second wave of Covid-19 pandemic. He also informed that new cylinders are being purchased for the plant.
“Currently our Naini plant in Prayagraj produces 1500 cylinders regularly, which is being supplied to hospitals. However, the oxygen which we will produce from Teliarganj plant is for the use of common man. We are burning the midnight oil to get the plant operational quickly and alleviate the patients and their attendants of the sufferings, which they are encountering due to shortage of oxygen supply. Although, the chief minister and the government is doing everything to ensure uninterrupted supply of oxygen at all hospitals but here is our contribution by extending a helping hand in this hour of crisis,” he said while speaking to HS.
The plant if get operational by Sunday will be a big relief to those in home isolation and need oxygen supply. The MLA went a step ahead and gave the nod to provide oxygen to common man but had to however, roll back the decision after administration prohibited the move citing shortage of oxygen supply to hospitals.
