Biren Singh steps down for Manipur’s welfare, No rift in BJP: State Chief
Manipur BJP president A Sharda Devi denied any internal conflict in the party and confirmed that Chief Minister N Biren Singh resigned for the state’s welfare. While submitting his resignation to the Governor, Singh emphasized that he prioritized Manipur’s future and stability.
Devi stated, “Our Chief Minister stepped down for the people. His priority is to protect Manipur’s integrity and ensure citizens’ safety with central support.” She assured that all BJP MLAs remain united, backing Singh’s decision to restore peace.
Meanwhile, Singh urged the central government to take necessary steps to maintain law and order in the state.
