Bharat Chamber contributes to Bengal Relief Fund
Kolkata, 31 March (HS): Responding to the appeal from Chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Kolkata based Bharat Chamber of Commerce (BCC) today donated Rs 11.12 lakhs to the State Emergency Relief Fund to help the state government fight the deadly Corona virus in an effective and comprehensive manner.
Informing this BCC President Ramesh Kumar Sarogi, a well known industrialist of Eastern India, told Hindusthan Samachar here today that the fund collected from the Chamber’s own corpus for benevolent purposes would be spent for providing relief to the needy and the poor besides supplying other materials as required by the state authorities to fight the disease.
In addition he said the BCC members supplied a total of 5000 pieces of folded FFP2 Face Masks to the Department of Health and Family Welfare to help the frontline warriors to fight the killer virus in different hospitals.
