Bengaluru: 6 SDPI members arrested for attacking BJP/RSS workers.
Karnataka, Jan 17(HS): The Bangalore Police has arrested 6 people on charges of assaulting RSS workers following protests against the amended citizenship law and the NRC issue. These people are alleged to have attacked RSS workers on December 22 after a protest against the CAA and NRC issues.
All the accused are members of the Social Democratic Party of India(SDPI.) The names of the accused are Irfan, Saeed Akbar, Saeed Siddiqui Akbar, Akbar Basha, Sana and Sadiq ul Amin. Police said that this case is an attempt to murder.
Police said that they had prior information that SDPI was funding these accused to instill fear among public and case has been handed over to the Anti Terror Squad of the Crime Branch for further investigation.
