BCCI pays tribute to former captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi on his 80th birth anniversary
Mumbai, January 05 (HS): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) paid tribute to former captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi on his 80th birth anniversary on Tuesday.
The BCCI posted a picture of Pataudi and wrote, “Remembering MAK Pataudi – former India captain and one of the bravest batsmen to have ever played the game – on his 80th birth anniversary.”
Pataudi lost his right eye in a car accident and he played most of the matches without his right eye. The Right-handed batsman played 46 test matches for India, in which, he scored a total of 2793 runs at an average of 34.91. He scored six centuries and 16 half-centuries in his career. He led India in 40 out of 46 tests he played so far and he won 9 of them.
