Ayodhya Terror Attack Verdict: Four imprisoned for life

Allahabad, Jun.18(HS): A special court in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj today sentenced four accused in the 2005 Ayodhya terror attack to life imprisonment and acquitted another. In this encounter lasted for more than an hour, the security personnel had killed all the five terrorists. Two civilians died in this.The hearing of the case was completed on June 9, the June 18 was fixed for the decision.
On the morning of July 5  (2005), at around 9.30, an encounter was ensued and five militants were killed. But, they also shot dead Ramesh Kumar Pandey and Shanti Devi. One injured in this incident, Krishna Swaroop later succumbed during treatment.
