Automatic signaling commissioned under Prayagraj division

PRAYAGRAJ, March 20 (HS): NCR moving towards seamless automatic signaling on New Delhi-Howrah trunk route. North Central Railway operate and maintain 751 Kms of busiest New Delhi-Howrah trunk route falling on Prayagraj division. Mobility on this route is critical for overall operations of trains from North to Eastern part of the country. To increase train handling capacity in this critical section, many important works like tripling, quadrupling, fly overs, yard remodeling, automatic signaling etc. have been undertaken and major sections between Kanpur to Ghaziabad and Bamhraui-Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn. are already equipped with automatic signaling system. For seamless automatic signaling from Ghaziabad to Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn., work for provision of automatic signaling in Kanpur- Fatehpur section was taken up on priority.

General Manager said that the projects are being commissioned over NCR at a rapid pace and in this connection, automatic signaling system for 17 Kms on Malwan-Kurastikalan-Fatehpur section has been completed successfully through joint efforts of Project Unit of North Central Railway and Prayagraj division on Saturday.

In the current financial year, the automatic signaling work has been completed in the 8 section between Sarsaul to Fatehpur as per the target. This is a significant achievement and it has become  a record that the automatic signaling has been  commissioned in so many sections by any unit in North Central Railway in a financial year. This important work has been executed under the direction of PCSTE Arun Kumar, by the multidisciplinary team lead by CSTE/ Project/NCR Bholendra Singh, Ajai chaturvedi  Dy CSTE/Project/Kanpur,  Kush Gupta Dy CSTE /project / PRYJ,  Dileep Rajput Sr DSTE/ Sig/ PRYJ.  This commissioning will enhance train handling capacity of this extremely busy section significantly and will help in improving punctuality.
