Assam police arrests 14 persons for echoing in support of Taliban
New Delhi, 21 August (H.S): Assam Police has arrested 14 persons from different parts of the state in connection with propaganda and objectionable posts on social media in support of Taliban. Information about the arrests made in this case has been shared in a statement issued from the state police headquarters on Saturday.
The arrested persons have been identified as Maulana Fazul Karim (49, Darang), Abu Bakkar Siddiqui alias Afga Khan Avilekh (55, Kamrup (Rural), Saidul Haque (29, Kamrup (Rural), Javed Majumdar (Cachar), Mozidul Islam (25, Barpeta). ), Farooq Hussain Khan (31, Barpeta), Syed Ahmed (27, Dhubri), Armaan Hussain (25, Dhubri), Nadeem Akhtar (23, Hailakandi), Khandkar Noor Alam (South Salmara), Maulana Yasin Khan (26, Gwalpara) ), Maulana Bashiruddin Laskar (65, Hojai), Mujeeb Uddin (Karimganj) and Murtuja Hussain Khan (Karimganj).
It is noteworthy that the Assam Police is fully geared up to take strict action against those who make inflammatory and objectionable posts on social media along with drug trade and illegal animal smuggling in the state. So that there is no animosity of any kind in the society. The police is also engaged in taking continuous action to prevent the Taliban mentality from spreading in the state.
