Arogya Mela to be restarted in UP from Sunday, CM Yogi to inaugurate in Farrukhabad
Lucknow, 09 January (HS) : The Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to restart Arogya Mela across the state from Sunday. CM Yogi Adityanth will inaugurate the mela at Sankisa Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Farrukhabad district.
Keeping in view to provide regular and sufficient health facilities to the people of UP the the Chief Minister has started Arogya Mela at all the PHCs last year. But, it was later suspended due to outbreak of COVID-19 in March, 2020. Now government has decided to revive it again.
According to a spokesperson of the state government all the preparations regarding the Arogya Mela has been completed in the entire state. A massive health campaign would be started across the state during the mela to be held at every Sunday from January 10, he said.
Meanwhile the Chief Minister Yogi on the day directed the officials concerned that all preparations should be made for organising the Chief Minister Arogya Mela kick-starting from January 10. He also called for creating more awareness and providing information to the masses about Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan and called for the distribution of golden cards of these schemes to eligible beneficiaries.
