Army jawanmartryed, two other Injured in Pak shelling in Poonch

Poonch, June 14 (HS):  An Army Jawan was martyred while two others injured in Pakistani shelling in Kirni and Qasba sector of Poonch district

Army said Pakistani army once again violated cease fire in Kirni and Qasba sector of Poonch District in which a jawan was martyred while two others were injured in Pakistani shelling.

Locals said on Saturday Pakistani army targeted forward Indian posts and civilian areas in the area.

Sadaqat Hussain a local said in Pakistani army violates cease fire and targets Army forward posts and civilian areas in the of our village. He added few houses in our village were damaged in Pakistani shelling.

Col Devinder Anand said Indian Army retaliated with equal caliber and gave a befitting reply to the enemy. An army jawan was seriously injured later he succumbed to injuries. He was identified as sepoy Lungabui Abonmli of 10 Assam
