Canadian police arrested 25-year-old Abjeet Kingra on October 30, 2024, in Ontario for involvement in a shooting and arson case at singer AP Dhillon’s British Columbia home. Kingra, accused of firing shots and setting fire to two vehicles in the 3300 block of Ravenwood Road, Colwood, in September 2024, faces charges of “Discharge of a Firearm with Intent” and “Arson.” Kingra will appear in Ontario court on Friday.

Police are also searching for a second suspect, 23-year-old Vikram Sharma, who reportedly fled to India. Sharma, last known to reside in Winnipeg, is wanted on an unendorsed warrant for “Discharge of a Firearm with Intent and Arson.” Without a photograph, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) released his details for public assistance. The West Shore RCMP has urged anyone with information about Sharma’s whereabouts to call them at 250-474-2264.

The incident occurred in September 2024 outside AP Dhillon’s home in Vancouver, when gunshots were heard and two vehicles near the property were set ablaze. Shortly after, the Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang claimed responsibility for the attack. The gang, which has a history of threats against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, referenced Dhillon’s recent collaboration with Khan in the music video “Old Money.” In a threatening message, the gang warned Dhillon to “stay within his limits” or face dire consequences.

The police investigation continues as authorities work to locate Sharma and gather further evidence. The case underscores rising tensions within the entertainment industry and heightened gang-related threats, which are drawing attention to the need for increased security for artists facing threats abroad.
