Ancient Hindu temple in Sialkot reopened after 72 years
Sialkot (Pakistan), 03 July (HS): The ancient temple has been reopened in the Punjab province of Pakistan after 72 years. After the instructions of the federal government, this temple has been reopened. After the demands of the minority Hindu community, the Shawla Tija Singh temple has been reopened.
Shrine’s Deputy Secretary Syed Faraj Abbas said that for several years the Hindu community was demanding to open this temple. He said that the renovation of the temple will be started soon after evaluating the cost. The idols of Hindu deities and goddesses will be brought from India. Since the partition, the temple was closed and it has been reopened on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chairman of Trust Property Board, Dr. Amir Ahmad.
