Amit Shah to Engage with IPS Probationers Today

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will interact with the Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers of the 76 RR (2023 batch) today. During this session, the trainee officers will share their training experiences with the Home Minister.

According to the Union Home Ministry, young police officers play a crucial role in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. In this meeting, the trainee officers will also receive guidance from Amit Shah on addressing challenges related to the country’s internal security.

A total of 188 trainee officers, including 54 women, have completed the Basic Course Training Phase-1. This 2023 batch has spent two weeks training alongside various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Central Police Organizations (CPOs) in Delhi. After this phase, the IPS trainee officers will move on to 29 weeks of district practical training in their respective cadres.

This interaction not only emphasizes the government’s commitment to nurturing future leaders in law enforcement but also highlights the importance of mentorship from seasoned officials like Amit Shah.
