Akhilesh Yadav slams Yogi Adityanath over Ansal group controversy

Akhilesh Yadav fired back at Yogi Adityanath over allegations against the Ansal Group. He questioned why the CM inaugurated projects linked to the developer instead of taking action earlier.
The Uttar Pradesh Police booked the Ansal Group for cheating, breach of trust, criminal conspiracy, and organized crime. The move followed Adityanath’s directive to protect homebuyers’ interests.
During a Budget discussion in the state assembly, Adityanath blamed the Samajwadi Party (SP) for enabling the group’s illegal activities. He accused the SP government of facilitating fraudulent deals that misled investors.
Yadav dismissed the claims, calling them an attempt to hide BJP’s failures. He pointed out that BJP leaders had themselves inaugurated malls, hospitals, and hotels in the same development. He also reminded that a G20 event took place at a hotel in Ansal’s Golf City.
In a post on X, Yadav shared a video of Adityanath inaugurating Lulu Mall in Golf City. He mocked the CM’s accusations, asking, “If everything was illegal, why did you go with scissors for the inauguration instead of sending a bulldozer?”
Yadav warned that BJP’s actions discouraged investors and hurt Uttar Pradesh’s progress. He argued that blaming others wouldn’t attract investments or improve governance.
He also took a dig at BJP, saying frustration over a possible loss of power was making its leaders desperate. “True success brings composure, while failure leads to visible panic,” he said.
