Jhansi, 09 March (HS) :     Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday announced that an airport would be constructed in Lalitpur district of Bundelkhand region. He, on the occasion held previous governments responsible for the backwardness of the Bundelkhand region.

CM Yogi is on a two-day visit of Bundelkhand region. He reached in Jalaun and there he inspected the construction work of Bundelkhand Expressway alomgwith senior officers.

Later the CM reached Lalitpur where he inaugurated Bandai Dam. While speaking on the occasion CM Yogi said that an airport will be constructed in Lalitpur so that people of the district may go anywhere in a short time. He also announced a medical college for Lalitpur district.

The Chief Minister said that Lalitpur would be connected to a network of roads in order to cut down the travel time of the district to the national capital. He also promised to develop other infrastructure in the district.

CM Yogi later reached Jhansi where he inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 78 development projects worth Rs 1664 crore. The CM in both the public meetings held at Lalitpur and Jhansi attacked the opposition holding their previous governments responsible for the backwardness of the region.

Yogi also attacked the opposition over new agriculture laws implemented by the central government.  He alleged that the people who do not know ABCD of the farming, are now commenting on the agriculture laws.  He said that the agricultural laws have been enacted with the objective of doubling the income of farmers.

The CM said that the farmers will get the benefit of the agricultural laws implemented by the central government under the leadership of the Prime Minister Modi. He further said that the Prime Minister has always formulated policies keeping farmers in mind and pointed out how the state government is implementing the programmes and schemes related to the interests of the farmers very seriously.

The Chief Minister Yogi further said that the farmers are the priority of the state government and that the government is making serious efforts for the welfare of farmers under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

CM yogi will stay in Jhansi tonight. On Wednesday he is scheduled to visit Mahoba, Chitrakoot and Banda districts.
