Agriculture deptt. organized kissan tour for farmers
Poonch, 04 March, (HS): In order to aware farmers about different schemes, agriculture department has organized afive days ‘Kissan Tour’ for 120 farmers under sponsored CAPEX (Central Expenditure) scheme. The Tour was Flagged off by Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Rahul Yadav accompanied by District Agriculture Officer Dr. Younis Choudhary. During the tour the Farmers will visit SKUAST Agriculture University Palampur and other Agriculture training institutes of Jammu.
Rahul Yaday said that objectives of organizing such tours was to aware farmers about latest technology and to strengthen economy of farmers by introducing machinery which reduces manual hard working in farming profession under Micro Management Scheme of ATMA. Under the scheme farmers of imparted training and today we organized farmers tours within state to aware farmers about latest Technology.
Dr. Younis said a totals of 120 farmers comprising 30 from Mendhar, 60 from Surankote and 60 from Poonch were selected for this tour.
