Actor Sushant Singh Rajput commits suicide

New Delhi, June 14 (HS) Bollyood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was found hanging in his house in Mumbai on Sunday afternoon. His body was found hanging from the fan in the house. The housekeeper called and informed the police. So far nothing concrete has come out about his death. The 34-year-old actor was very popular and started his career on TV . He first worked in a serial called ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil’, but he got recognition from Ekta Kapoor’s serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’.

Sushant Singh Rajput started his film career as a lead actor in ‘Kay Po Chhe’. His performance in this film was highly appreciated. He was then seen in ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ opposite Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. However, he became a sensation after playing the role of MS Dhoni, former captain of the Indian team, in the film ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ . It was Sushant’s first film to earn a hundred crores.

Sushant also appeared in films like ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’, ‘PK’, ‘Sonchiriya’, ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Chichhore’. Sushant was born in 1986 in Mahida in Purnia district of Bihar.

Sushant’s mother died when he was 16 years old. He was very close to his mother and expressed love for his mother many times on the social media. Sushant lived alone in Bandra’s house.

Police were taking statements from neighbours about his suicide. Reports said Sushant was in depression for the last six months, but no one imagined that he would take such a drastic step .

Interestingly, Sushant’s last film ‘Chichhore’ was based on suicide.

Many Bollywood celebrities expressed their grief and shock over Sushant’s death. Legendary artists like Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor died in the month of April. Recently, singer and music composer Wajid Khan died at the age of 42. Also, senior lyricist Yogesh Gaur passed away last month.
