Accountants learn about women in MSME
Ranchi, 14 March 2021 (HS) International Women’s Day was organized by the Ranchi Chapter of Cost Accountants at state capital on Sunday. The theme of this programme was the role of women in MSME. The event began with a welcome address by Ranchi Chapter President Vidyadhar Prasad. Welcoming the Chief Guest Swapnali Basu and the participants said that working women play a dual role in their lives, along with family responsibilities at home and also discharge the responsibilities given at work place, hence it is their right Such events should be organized to appreciate the special contribution made in the society.
Along with this, he paid tribute to the revered Savitribai Phule and other great souls in the field of women empowerment and education and paid their respects to them. Basu threw light on why International Women’s Day is celebrated. He also hoped that women should be treated equally at the workplace. Addressing the participants, she said that women should discharge their duties in order to maintain the status of equality and not to pretend to be their women at the workplace.
Speaking on the occasion, Chittaranjan Chattopadhyay, Member of the Central Council specially associated with Kolkata on Virtual Mode to speak on the role of women in MSME, appreciated the effort of Ranchi Chapter of Cost Accountant and said that entrepreneurship development of women in MSME Has immense possibilities. Referring to various schemes under MSME, he said that women entrepreneurs can get special benefits of these schemes but currently only 13.76 percent of the total entrepreneurs in MSME sector are women.
He emphasized that a series of programs should be organized by the Ranchi Chapter for the development of women entrepreneurship. Meenakshi Kumar, Meera Prasad and Kaiser Aman played the main roles in organizing this event. In his vote of thanks, Chapter Vice President Arunjay Kumar Singh emphasized that women came into leadership roles and at the same time society also changed their thinking about women and they received equal respect and remuneration in every field.
