Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal is moving into bungalow number 5 on Ferozeshah Road, Lutyens’ Delhi, just days after stepping down as Chief Minister. The bungalow, located close to AAP’s headquarters, was officially allotted to AAP Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Ashok Mittal. Kejriwal accepted the offer to stay there, as several party leaders, including MPs and MLAs, had offered him houses following his decision to leave 6 Flagstaff Road, Civil Lines.

AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj confirmed that Kejriwal would soon move into the new residence. AAP MP Mittal expressed his joy that Kejriwal chose his bungalow, signaling support within the party.

Meanwhile, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has moved to Rajendra Prasad Road, occupying the official residence of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh.

Kejriwal’s move to Lutyens’ Delhi comes as he gears up to lead AAP’s campaigns in the upcoming Delhi and other state elections. This area also includes his assembly constituency. Kejriwal recently resigned after spending over five months in Tihar Jail related to the alleged excise policy scam. He vowed to return to his post only after receiving what he called a “certificate of honesty” from the public in the upcoming assembly elections set for February next year.

This move signifies a fresh chapter as Kejriwal prepares to steer AAP through the critical election season ahead.
