The AAP released its final list of candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections on Sunday, covering 38 remaining constituencies. Arvind Kejriwal, AAP’s national convener and former Chief Minister, will contest from the New Delhi seat for the fourth time. Current CM Atishi will contest from Kalkaji.

The candidate list also includes Satyendra Jain for Shakur Basti, Durgesh Pathak for Rajinder Nagar, and Imran Hussain for Ballimaran. Other key candidates are Ramesh Pehalwan (Kasturba Nagar), Raghuvinder Shokeen (Nangloi Jat), Som Dutt (Sadar Bazar), and Jarnail Singh (Tilak Nagar).

The New Delhi constituency is set for a high-stakes battle. Kejriwal faces Congress’s Sandeep Dikshit, son of former CM Sheila Dikshit, and BJP’s likely candidate Parvesh Verma, son of ex-CM Sahib Singh Verma.

In a post on ‘X’, Kejriwal accused the BJP of lacking leadership, vision, and plans for Delhi. “BJP has no CM candidate, no team, and no strategy. Their sole agenda is to ‘Remove Kejriwal’,” he wrote. He highlighted AAP’s clear development plan and a capable team to execute it.

This election will test AAP’s governance model against its rivals’ strategies, promising a fierce contest for Delhi’s future.
