Chennai,02 June(HS): Thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, people in Tamil Nadu are compelled to show their Aadhar card in order to have a haircut in the saloons across the state.

This new norm has become inevitable as the state government has made it mandatory to examine the details on Aadhar card, before the saloon staff extend their services to the customers.
The state government has permitted to open hair cutting saloons in the rural areas in the month of May itself. However, now it has made checking the Aadhar cards compulsory.
Although Lockdown measures have been extended till June 30, conditional permission has been granted to activities like transport, hotels and restaurants.
It may be recalled here that Tamil Nadu stands second in the numbers of Corona virus infections. A total of 23,495 persons in the state have been infected by the virus.
