9 million employees to come under Financial inclusion programme through Niyo Bharat App

Kolkata, 5 March (HS) : Introducing a  completely new and revolutionised banking experience for about 9 million blue collard employees in West Bengal and other states in Eastern India, a Bengaluru based new age technological company here today announced its plans to bring all low income un banked employees in the state under the Financial inclusion programme of the union government without paying any visit to the bank.
Announcing his plan the Business Head of tech savvy Start Up ‘Niyo Bharat’ ,a wholly owned subsidiary of USA  headquartered Niyo- Inc, Darpan Sharma said here this afternoon that after gathering the confidence of over 1.7 million customers  in India  and across the globe through its highly regulated operations,Niyo Bharat had now set off on a mission to revolutionise the banking experience for lower income group employees of mainly unorganised sectors in Eastern India, particularly in West Bengal.
‘In line with the mission,Niyo now aims to reach out to about 9 million blue collar workers in West Bengal whose monthly income varies between Rs 10,000 and Rs 12,000 each only ‘, Sharma said and claimed that the company during the past few weeks had been able to tie up with 59 Corporate houses in the state and enlisted about 7,000 of their low income employees by opening their salary accounts with two leading private sector banks with Niyo Bharat working as the inter-mediatory by providing lots of helpful banking services to them on regular basis.
Further explaining his business plan to Hindusthan Samachar, Sharma said with a view to bringing at least 2 million customers under their fold by 2022 in West Bengal alone, where a large number of labour forces worked under various  un organised sectors,Sharma  informed that Niyo Bharat by opening their salary accounts in Yes Bank and DCB Bank would help them manage their funds more conveniently and in hassle free manner by using an exclusive mobile app developed by them.
‘Each customer at a nominal  annual charge of Rs 200, would be provided with  a pre approved Debit Card for being able to transact business from all corners of the country on daily basis’, he said.
In case of any problem they could also seek the help of a 24X 7 Helpline  in ten regional languages including Bengali,Hindi,English,Urdu, Odiya,Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.
‘We also offer Global services though the Niyo Global Card which has already been subscribed by nearly one million customers across India ‘, Sharmas said replying to a query from HS and hoped that  within the next two years they would be able to  reach the target of having  five million customers for Niyo Bharat programme and another about 2 million for the Niyo Global initiatve.
