70 Indian pilgrims return after praying at Pakistan’s Katas Raj temple
A group of 70 Indian Hindu pilgrims returned home on Wednesday after completing their religious visit to the Katas Raj temple in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The pilgrims were greeted with warm gestures by Pakistani officials, who presented them with gifts and bouquets at the Wagah border.
The seven-day trip included prayers at several temples. Besides Katas Raj, the group visited the Krishna temple on Ravi Road in Lahore and the Valmiki temple in Anarkali. They also explored Lahore’s historic Anarkali market and the iconic Lahore fort.
Saifullah Khokhar, Additional Secretary (Teerthsthan) of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), bid farewell to the pilgrims at the Wagah border. He presented them with bouquets and gifts, expressing hope that the visit would strengthen ties between India and Pakistan. Khokhar emphasized that such cultural exchanges could help improve relations between the two neighboring countries.
