4417 Amarnath pilgrims leaves Jammu base Camp
Jammu, July.01 (HS): Amidst tight security arrangements the second batch of 4,417 Shri Amarnath pilgrims left the Jammu base camp for Kashmir Valley today.
According to police sources, the batch comprising of 3495 men, 842 women,31 children,48 Serbia and one transgender left the Bhagwati Nagar Base camp for Baltal and Pahalgam around 4 am this morning.
The pilgrims left the base camp in a cavalcade of 142 light and heavy vehicles escorted by security forces. So far 6,651 pilgrims have left for the Yatra to the South Himalyan cave shrine since yesterday.
