40 security personnel released by Taliban
Kabul, (HS): Taliban militants have freed 40 security personnel from their custody in Jawzjan province, Army spokesman Abdul Hadi-Jamal in the northern region on Monday gave this information.
Jamal told that the Taliban militants released a group of 40 security personnel, which includes most of the policemen. After that he reached the Jawzjan province. This is the second group of Afghan security forces in the last one week which has been released. Even before 42 security personnel were released.
The Afghan government has also declared the release of some 900 Taliban languishing in prisons as a good will gesture to accelerate the ongoing peace process.
