3 die in Pakistan train accident
Islamabad/New Delhi, Jun. 21 (HS): Three people have died in a collision between a goods and a passenger train at Makali Shah in Hyderabad. Station superintendent Mohammad Rizwan said, a passenger train from Karachi to Lahore near Lafifabad area of Hyderabad collided with a goods train .
Federal Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the driver, assistant driver and one security personnel have died and all the passengers are safe in this accident. The matter is being investigated and the report will be released.
Dr. Mubeen, MD of Civil Hospital said, two bodies had been taken to the hospital and one injured person is being treated. Three ambulances have been sent to the spot. The dead and the injured were not identified yet.
Aftab Akhtar, the CEO of Pakistan Railway said, this incident was due to the negligence of driver and assistant driver. Apart from these , two unauthorized people were also present and they were all talking and in this time the driver missed the signal and missed the emergency brake.
